THE REDSHIRTS & BALLBLAST FOOTBALL UNITE

BallBlast Football exploded on to the fantasy football scene in 2019. Founders of the BallBlast Fantasy Football Podcast, Kate and Michelle Magdziuk, have created a brand that has taken off and developed quite a following. Their website, www.BallBlastFootball.com has recently been updated and it is bursting with fantasy football content that is objective and data based. It is featured on Fantasy Football Unlimited’s Premium Content page. This is definitely an exciting time for the brand and now the influence of BallBlast Football has grown even more as they have joined forces with the team at Redshirts Fantasy Football Podcast.

The two entities have worked together on a variety of collaborations since last season and have formed close friendships in the process. According to BallBlast’s Kate Magdziuk, who is a contributing writer for NBC’s RotoWorld and 4for4 Fantasy Football, Dr. Matthew Betz of the Redshirts Fantasy Football Podcast joined the BallBlast Podcast for a weekly injury analysis segment on their pre-game live stream shows during the 2019 football season. Kate told me, “We loved the vibe we had working together. We’ve seen so many of our peers achieve success recently, and we came to the conclusion that our best opportunity for success was together.” She went on to say, “Betz and I have been conniving to merge our brands for some time now, probably unbeknownst to Michelle and the rest of the Redshirts crew! We knew we had such a natural chemistry with one another and that we each brought a different skill-set to the table. We had a call to talk logistics, and we made it happen.”

The Redshirts Fantasy Football Podcast brings a lot to the table. The analysts at Redshirts have provided excellent content to fantasy consumers through their podcast, articles, rankings, YouTube videos, live streams, & injury reports. Their social media accounts are very active which allows them to be extremely interactive with their listeners. The team made up of Dr. Matthew Betz, Matt Okada, & John Helmkamp deliver a podcast that is tremendously entertaining as they each bring unique personalities and perspectives to the show. Dr. Matthew Betz is a physical therapist and board certified orthopedic clinical specialist, as well as an injury analyst for award winning and highly acclaimed podcast, The Fantasy Footballers. He will also be hosting the DFS (daily fantasy sports) podcast for The Fantasy Footballers this season. Matt Okada is an NFL Network researcher, graduate of The Scouting Academy, and was previously a writer for The Fantasy Footballers as well. Jon Helmkamp is the creator of the Running Back Rush rating metric and was formerly a writer for Expand the Box Score. He just might have the most impressive beard in the fantasy sports industry as well.

The Redshirts Fantasy Football Podcast was created to provide a unique lens for fantasy football consumers. When asked where the desire to create the podcast came from, Dr. Betz said, “We wanted a platform where we could combine our unique talents into one awesome platform to help listeners win championships”. The Redshirts have definitely accomplished that. With Dr. Betz delivering accurate injury coverage, Matt Okada bringing unique content from his experience with the NFL Network, and Jon Helmkamp lending a perceptive eye for running back talent, they are able to provide fantasy football analysis in ways that other content creators simply cannot. These analysts form a group built on individual niches in the fantasy football space, all coming together to help listeners win fantasy football titles.

When it comes to the love and passion that the Redshirts share for fantasy football, Dr. Betz said, “The three of us over at Redshirts Fantasy Football are all in on fantasy football! We spend all of our free time researching, watching tape, and putting out content.” In regards to their mission as a podcast, he said, “Our goal is to help you win championships however our primary goal is help make you, the consumer, a better fantasy football player. We want to give you the tools to succeed for years long after consuming our product. At the same time, our goal is to grow into a top tier football entity in this space in order to help provide a source of entertainment while also being knowledgeable in all the right areas.”

I asked BallBlast Football’s Kate Magdziuk about the recent merger and she said, “Our goals with this merger are to be able to provide our readers and listeners with a constant stream of quality content. We each had a writing team chomping at the bit to produce content.” Combining the efforts of the two entities just made sense. Now these combined forces have the ability to work smarter, not harder, when it comes to growing their influence as a brand according to Kate.

As for the newly formed super team, BallBlast Football has several goals within this fantasy industry. First and foremost, they want to help you win your fantasy football league. Second, they want to entertain you. Third, and perhaps most importantly, they would like to help other content creators and aspiring analysts within the fantasy community grow. The BallBlast Football team is truly excited to be able to provide their writers with guidance and help them by providing a platform for them to share their knowledge and insight. Their impressive list of current writers include; Kyle August (@KyleFFfellas), Kai Brewer (@kaisquared), Cam Harper (@CamHarperNFL), Jake Hrip (@JakeTakesFF), Mike Mattes (@FantasyMikeBBF), Jake McLain (@FF_trendy), Kevin Nale (@KINale22), Daren Satsky, (@TheBigAL77), and Corey Spala (@CdotFF).

There are no limits to where BallBlast Football can go in the coming years. It is highly recommended that you subscribe to their podcasts; BallBlast: A Fantasy Football Podcast and the newly refreshed Redshirts Dynasty Podcast. Both of which will keep you informed and entertained.
